Current PL mini-leagues
Positions 1-3, points: 38-36
Man C, Liverpool, Chelsea

Can't see the teams changing, though the final order is anyone's guess.

Positions 4-7, points: 28-25
West Ham, Man U, Arsenal, Spurs

The Champions League chasers. Two of the traditional 'big' teams, plus us and Spurs. Man U under the new fellow look to be heading upwards, while Arsenal have also pulled their socks up of late. But they're still reliably inconsistent. We keep dropping points against the lower sides and that will come back to bite us on the rump by the end of the season.

Positions 8-13, points: 22-19
Leicester, Wolves, Brentford, Brighton, Palace, Villa

The Euro chasing pack. Villa and Leicester look the most likely to break into Euro places.

Positions 14-16, points: 18-16
Everton, Leeds, Southampton

The squeaky bum league. Currently with enough points to be above the drop zone and on paper significantly stronger than those below them, but an extended run of poor form could see any of these sides drop into the mire.

Positions 17-20, points: 13-10
Watford, Burnley, Newcastle, Norwich

Norwich are probably gone. That leaves two of three. It might come down to either Newcastle or Burnley, and that's a tough call..

Re: Current PL mini-leagues

I'd say it's more that we went in to the season with only one striker in the team rather than our defensive injuries. Antonio has scored only 1 goal in his last 12 games.

Has anyone worked out the London EPL club’s mini league standings?

Maybe (the board see) 7th as a realistic finish?

Ok, it's not the 4th we all want (some expect and a few demand (DEMAND!), but is is European football for 2 seasons on the bounce.

Throw in a cup (should the competitions go ahead) and I don't think it will be one to complain about.

We nearly all identified where the team's shortcomings were before a ball was kicked, and sure enough - here they all are.

Agree with Vexed
We will do well to finish 7th
Too many games for the squad size and opponents nullify our approach
No coincidence that we look better against sides that bring it to us, those playing our game against us cause problems

I'd take a top 6 six place now. Injuries are starting to hamper us, it's surprising it's taken so long for that to happen. I'd like to see us be ambitious in the window and bring in three quality additions, a striker and CB being the most urgent. Plus Lingard or a left back.

If there wasn't a January window, Norwich and Newcastle would both be down.

But one's going to splash the cash. I just hope it doesn't work.

I think Leicester may join the 4-7th placed chase.

Six pointer on Wednesday for mini league 2
We need to win that.
Strange how our defense is all messed up with injuries, but our attack is suffering...
It's been hot and cold for a while now.
